In tribute to Pravin Gordhan contributions, President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared a special official state funeral (Category 2) for Gordhan. The National Flag will be flown at half-mast from September 14, 2024, until the evening of his funeral on September 19, 2024.

“It is with profound sadness that the Gordhan family announces the passing of former Minister Pravin Gordhan,” his family said. He was 75 years old.
